I get a lot of requests for this really moist banana bread recipe. Easy to make, and always good, hope you enjoy~

Banana Nut Bread

3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. mashed bananas
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sour milk or buttermilk
1/2 c. walnuts

Cream sugar and shortening, add eggs and beat well. Mash bananas and add. Add soda and salt to flour and sift into above mixture, alternating with sour or buttermilk. Add vanilla and nuts and beat well.

Pour into two loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.
